Factoring in time for makeup, hair, photos, first looks and anything else you'd like to make your wedding day truly special.

Having a trial lets us plan your look, ensure your skin is the best it can be and discuss the morning of your wedding in advance so you know exactly what to expect on the day. It removes stress, helps everything run smoothly, and gives you one less thing to worry about before your wedding. There won't be any extra time to try different looks on your wedding day so a trial is a great opportunity for this.

I recommend booking your trial 3–6 months before your wedding. By then, you’ll likely have your outfit, hairstyle, and colour scheme in mind, making it easier to choose a makeup look that fits your style. It also allows time for any changes if your ideas evolve.

It depends on what time you need to be ready. I’ve done parties of up to 8 on my own, starting as early as 5:00 am for a 1:00 pm ceremony. For more than 6 people, I can often arrange an additional makeup artist. I allow about 1 hour 5 minutes per person, plus extra time for final touch-ups once everyone is dressed.

I recommend at least one other person in your wedding party, like a bridesmaid, has a trial. There’s no time on the day to test different looks, so this ensures I bring the right products and everything runs smoothly. If no trial is booked, I’ll need clear photos and descriptions for each person’s desired look in advance. Trials can also be a fun part of wedding planning — why not tie them in with your hen do or a special outing?

Allow about 1 hour 5 minutes per person, depending on the size of your wedding party and the looks you want. I usually do the bride’s makeup in the middle or towards the end so it stays fresh, while you enjoy watching everyone else get ready. Once your date and times are confirmed, I’ll send you a personalised schedule to share with your hair stylist, photographer, and others so the morning runs smoothly. Example schedule based on a bridal party of 5 having makeup and hair done at the wedding venue with a 2pm wedding ceremony

10:15am - Bride's Makeup & Bridesmaid 3's Hair

11:20am - Bridesmaid 4's Makeup & Bridesmaid 1's Hair

12:30pm - Hair & makeup to be complete for bridal party to get dressed, any first looks, photos and registrars. (Your registrars will normally want to speak with you 15 minutes before the ceremony)
